Missy McCullough was born and raised in Los Angeles. As a child, she would create artwork in her living room and sell it to her neighbors door-to-door. Her profits were mostly spent on candy.
Following college, she worked for many years as a fashion designer and toy designer. Through design, she honed her eye for composition, color and detail, and in 2010, she decided to become a full-time Illustrator.
While only illustrating for a short time, her work has been featured on NBC’s Today Show and the Daily Candy Everywhere Edition. Missy is also a regular contributor to NYLON magazine and her work can be seen in international publications such as THAT, Foam and The Skinny, to name a few.
Missy loves combining Indian ink and watercolor to create colorful and detailed illustrations. Her work is influenced by her love of fashion, vintage illustration, sunny Los Angeles weather and her travels overseas.
She currently lives in Downtown, Los Angeles with her husband, baby girl and dog.
